In these stories, bodies suffer, mutate, revive, resist. Fear is breathed in the vitiated atmospheres, in the landscapes inhabited by a spectral presence, in the bonds crossed by violence. The selection of titles that make up the cycle “Body, destruction and death in contemporary Argentine horror films” seeks to account for this aesthetic and thematic variety.

Terrified (2017) dir, Demián Rugna

Synopsis: A series of paranormal events shake a Buenos Aires neighborhood: disappearances, dead people who don’t quite disappear, mysterious voices and strange murders follow one after the other while a group of investigators try to find an explanation.
