GRIMMFEST GUESTS FOR 2024

September 4, 2024 Simeon Halligan

Word must have got out: GRIMMFEST is the place to be in early October. This year we have more film makers and actors than ever before wanting to attend the festival, present their films, and meet their public.

GRIMMFEST offers a unique opportunity to see all-new movie premieres on the big screen, long before they go on general release; to see films you might never get another chance to see in a cinema. And it’s a chance to get up close and personal with the actors and the film makers themselves; to ask them questions, discuss their creative decisions. At Grimmfest, there is no “Them and Us”. Filmmakers and performers are encouraged to mingle, socialise, often sharing a drink at the bar with audience members. You can get your posters signed, certainly, you can take photographs, but this isn’t a convention; this isn’t about charging silly fees for photo opportunities or autographs. This is a ‘money can’t buy’ experience where you get to chat and connect with incredible talent in a relaxed and sociable environment.

So, let’s dive straight in and see who will be attending Grimmfest 2024.

For our Preview Night on Thursday 3rd October, we have the World Premiere of BLACK CAB, an eerie fusion of psychological thriller, urban legend, and the supernatural, shot in and around Manchester. We are delighted to announce that the film’s stars, Nick Frost (SHAUN OF THE DEAD, SPACED) and Synnove Karlsen (BODIES, LAST NIGHT IN SOHO), and the director, Bruce Goodison, will be with us to present the film and answer questions.

Join us for an exclusive European Premiere preview of three episodes of the much-anticipated TALES FROM THE VOID and meet showrunners Francesco Loschaivo and John Kelley, who will be coming over from Canada to host the event.

Finally, that evening, we’ll be welcoming actress Caroline Quigley and producer Paul Kim all the way from the USA for the International Premiere of BEEZEL, a bone-chilling reinvention of the “found footage” horror.

From Italy, we welcome prolific horror movie director Fredrico Zampaglione, who first made his mark as a musician with the band Tiromancino, before turning to directing acclaimed movies such as SHADOW, TULPA and now the Italian box office smash THE WELL, starring Lauren LaVera (TERRIFIER 2), which has its English Premiere at Grimmfest.
