Academy Award nominee, lifelong horror fan and absolute legend Paul Giamatti is set to star in a key role for a new “HOSTEL” TV series with franchise creator Eli Roth returning, THR says.
No details yet on Giamatti’s role, but he’d be fantastic as either the mastermind behind things or as a rich man who wants a taste of maiming someone. He’d be fantastic as anything, let’s be honest.
The CREEP TV series has actually already been filmed, but the headline flows better saying they’re both in the works. Sue me.
Indiewire reports, “The series, co-created by Duplass and CREEP director Patrick Brice (who also directed every episode), is currently being shopped to buyers.”
The site also says that production on “THE CREEP TAPES” has wrapped in secret.
“The series is based on a collection of video tapes in the secret vault of the world’s deadliest and most socially uncomfortable serial killer, who hires his victims to film him for the day under false pretenses,” Duplass said in a statement.
