Following 2020’s stunning version of THE INVISIBLE MAN, Leigh Whannell is reteaming with Universal and Blumhouse to direct a new take on the WOLF MAN, reports THR.
Christopher Abbott has been cast in the titular role. You might recall Ryan Gosling had previously been attached, with Derek Cianfrance on board to direct.
The Hollywood Reporter says “Gosling and Cianfrance have both departed the project although Gosling will now receive an executive producer credit.”
Whannell’s WOLF MAN will howl its way into cinemas on 25th October 2024. This is Whannell’s 4th directing gig following INSIDIOUS CHAPTER 3, UPGRADE and THE INVISIBLE MAN – he was the original director on this project, before Cianfrance took over.
