Have we ever had a trilogy release all 3 of its films in the same year?
This is a very intriguing one, and I’m all for it because I loooove 2008’s THE STRANGERS and its 2018 sequel PREY AT NIGHT.
Chapter 1 is said to be a remake of the 2008 one, while Chapter 2 and Chapter 3 will blaze their own trail.
Renny Harlin (NIGHTMARE 4, DIE HARD 2, DEEP BLUE SEA etc) is directing this trilogy, which features Madelaine Petsch in the lead as she drives cross-country with her longtime boyfriend (Froy Gutierrez) to begin a new life in the Pacific Northwest. When their car breaks down in Venus, Oregon, they’re forced to spend the night in a secluded Airbnb, where they are terrorised from dusk till dawn by three masked strangers.
