All aboard for THE LAST VOYAGE OF THE DEMETER!

April 17, 2023 grimmfest

Universal is bringing Dracula back to theaters on August 11, 2023, and the film’s officially trailer has landed.

Based on Bram Stoker’s classic horror novel, the movie will tell a unique Dracula story on the high seas, and the trailer gives us our first look at this film’s incarnation of the iconic blood-sucker. Drac looks completely monstrous in this one!

André Øvredal (THE AUTOPSY OF JANE DOE, SCARY STORIES TO TELL IN THE DARK) is on board as the director steering this ship to land.

I thank you.

The film is “based on a single chapter, the Captain’s Log, from Bram Stoker’s classic 1897 novel Dracula. The chapter tells the story of the Russian schooner, Demeter, which was chartered to carry private cargo – twenty four unmarked wooden crates – from Carpathia to London. The film will detail the strange events that befell the doomed crew as they attempt to survive the ocean voyage, stalked each night by a terrifying presence onboard the ship. When it finally arrived near Whitby Harbour, it was derelict. There was no trace of the crew.”
