We hope you enjoyed our HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHT. The Highlights are below. Watch this space for more on our upcoming Monthly screenings.
With three great horror movies, loads of raffle prizes and best fancy dress prizes, the whole night went with a bang. We hope everyone who attended enjoyed it as much as we did! Raffles & prizes. Monday 31st October 2011. Dancehouse, Oxford Road, Manchester (next to Odder bar). We celebrated Halloween 2011 in true horror style. Enjoyed three classic horror movies, drunk incredibly cheap beer and hosted our ‘almost legendary’ GRIMM raffles throughout the night. Many of you came dressed as your favourite Monsters and Zombies (Pictures to follow)
MOVIES: We kicked off with John Carpenters classic HALLOWEEN at 7.30 pm; Michael Myers was back in this seasonal must.
‘John Carpenter and Debra Hill's film is a genuine landmark in the horror-thriller genre’ – FILM 4
At 9.30 pm. It was surprize movie time. We gave you the vote on three options. I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE, THE HOWLING REBORN or NIGHT OF THE DEMONS. The film that got the most votes, played! THE HOWLING REBORN, the new franchise reboot, got the vote. (The film is released on DVD in the UK on the 13th Febuary 2012)
11.30 pm. It was Zombie time! We were proud to present a special screening of ‘Classic in the making’, THE DEAD. The Ford Bros iconic Zombie movie has just been released to huge critical acclaim. After a packed screening at GRIMM UP NORTH festival earlier this month, it was back by popular demand!
