THE ORDSALL HALL EXPERIENCE

This is your chance to come and discover the dark history of the Tudor Manor; explore the dark depths of the abode of the mysterious White Lady, the spirit that haunts the  Ordsall Hall and experience chilling interactive elements as costumed ghouls ensure that your visit to Ordsall Hall will be unforgettable.  *Ticket allows you both entry to the screenings as well as a exclusive chance to look around the venue out of conventional hours*

This beautiful and atmospheric Grade I Tudor mansion, incongruously situated in the centre of Ordsall is home to the mysterious, ghostly White Lady. We’ll be setting up in the Great Hall, where she allegedly walks by night, in the hope that she might join us for the screening. We’ll be starting with arguably the greatest haunted house film of them all, THE INNOCENTS, Jack Clayton’s eerie and beautiful realisation of Henry James’ “The Turn of The Screw”, followed by Alejandro Amenabar’s smart and spooky THE OTHERS, which was conceived in part as an homage to the earlier film, but offers some equally effective and affecting chills of its own.

*Due to the nature of the venue being Grade 1 Listed, the temperature inside has to be set, it is advisable to bring warm clothing and/or additional material to ensure that you do not become cold during the screenings*

The Innocents – “[an] absolute classic British black-and-white horror, creepy and atmospheric…” The Guardian

The Others – “Stylish, intelligent and creepy. Cinematic storytelling at its finest, where word and image are perfectly married.” FilmFour
