Made on the kind of budget that wouldn’t provide tea and toast for a Hollywood shoot, this locally-produced film offers a surprisingly epic tale of apocalypse, marauding zombie hordes, and the struggle to rebuild society. Bold, brutal, and insanely ambitious, this is an attempt to do something very different with the zombie movie. Uneven at times, perhaps, due to budget, its heart is most definitely in the right place – torn right out of its chest!
