For A Holiday Treat Why Not Take Your Kids to A Dungeon?

There’s something… sinister about seaside towns; that uncertain, shifting point where land meets sea. Innsmouth. Antonio Bay. Amity Island.… And Blackpool! The very name is suggestive of lurking Lovecraftian horrors. Once the site of a historic drainage channel that ran over a a peat bog, spewing discoloured water into the Irish Sea, and forming a black pool around the coastline, the town has rebranded itself as the Vegas of the North West, with its casinos and legendary pleasure beach. But that bottomless black pool still waits to suck down the unwary.

And at Blackpool Tower Dungeons, you’ll find a reminder of the darkness lurking below the bright and shiny surface. Here’s your chance to experience 1000 years of Blackpool’s most blood-curdling history – Vikings, smugglers, witches, the great plague… Spend time in the Dark Chapel, and be judged a sinner. Be condemned to the Torture Chamber and take the Elevator to Hell. Good clean family fun for Grimmlins everywhere.

And thanks to the Tower’s dastardly dungeon masters, Grimm Up North has a free family ticket to give away (2 adults &  2 children or 4 adults) and also valid for the Edinburgh, York, London venues till December 2012) All you have to do is email info@grimmfest.com the answer to this question: What movie double bill we are screening on Febuary 23rd at the Dancehouse Theatre in Manchester.
